Midwest Conference on Technology, Employment and Community
March 2-4, 1995. University of Illinois, Chicago
New technologies promise a bright future of intellectual and cultural
development and freedom from want. But the current use of technology has
disrupted every aspect of society, destroyed jobs, and with it, our
communities. How can we put technology to work for all of us, and ensure a
decent future for ourselves and our children? This is the focus of the
Midwest Conference on Technology, Employment and Community. Come and join
the debate.
Keynote Speaker:
Jeremy Rifkin
Author of The End of Work.
